Rose Fulgurante

Rosa 'Fulgurante' is a large-flowered rose with intensely red flowers that typically grows to about 0.5–1 m tall. The flowers are large, double, and velvety, often borne singly or in small groups on strong, stiff stems, with a delicate, sweet fragrance. This variety blooms profusely from June to October, repeating blooms throughout the season and providing a striking addition to rose beds or gardens. The leaves are dark green and leathery, contrasting nicely with the intense color of the flowers. The plant grows best in sunny or slightly shaded locations, in fertile, moderately moist soil. Fulgurante is quite frost-hardy, but in harsher winters, mounding the soil around the base of the shrub is recommended.
