Flowers are 7 cm wide in flat trusses, pale purple with yellow markings. Leaves glossy and very dark green. Size of the shrub is 1,2 m (height) × 1,3 m (width) in 10 years. Flowering time is early to mid May, but reliably and often much more strongly in August toOctober. Hardy variety up to -24°C.
