Pinus nigra 'Spielberg' - Austrian Pine

A slow-growing variety of black pine with a compact, spherical crown that becomes ovoid with age. After 10 years, it reaches 1–1.5 m in diameter, with an annual growth of 10–15 cm. It has dark green, long needles and low soil requirements, and is resistant to frost and drought. It grows best in the sun and is recommended for home gardens, flower beds and rock gardens as a distinctive solitary plant.
